REDI is an independent research institution officially established on 2001 in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

Redi working area are economic research, social research, education research, policy oriented studies on both regional and domestic issues, legal and government studies, and also producing various kind of training.

REDI's presence is aimed at contributing thoughts and activities -through action researches and studies, training, information dissemination in seminars and workshops, partnerships and cooperation- to assist the stakeholders in regional areas in developing local economic potencies. Developing local economic represents one of the efforts in improving the welfare of local people in regional areas in Indonesia.

REDI attempts to improve the capacity of all stakeholders in regional areas in developing economic potencies. It endeavors to continously encourage the synergy among the stakeholders in the regional development process.
